Once in a kingdom by the sea, there was a group of modern believers who followed Christ Jesus. They gathered in a grand temple, adorned with intricate mosaics and gilded walls, to worship and praise His name. Yet, as they prayed and sang, they held a secret in their hearts: they had not fully surrendered to Christ’s divine authority in every aspect of their lives.
One day, a wise traveler from a distant land visited the kingdom. He carried with him an extraordinary sword that gleamed with a brilliant light. The traveler told the people that this sword was a gift from Christ Jesus Himself, and it held the power to pierce the depths of one’s being, revealing their spiritual nature and their affinity for worldliness.
The modern believers, intrigued by the traveler’s words, invited him to their temple. They asked him to demonstrate the power of the sword upon them, confident that their faith would withstand the test. The wise traveler agreed, and as he unsheathed the sword, its light filled the temple, casting away every shadow.
One by one, the believer’s hearts were pierced by the sword’s light, and to their dismay, the truth was revealed. Their hearts, once thought to be pure and devoted, were tainted by the worldliness they had allowed to fester within them. The sword’s light unveiled their hidden desires, their secret doubts, and their refusal to fully submit to Christ’s divine authority.
The modern believers fell to their knees, tears streaming down their faces, as they realized the error of their ways. They had been living in a state of self-deception, professing their faith in Christ Jesus, while secretly clinging to the comforts and temptations of the world.
The wise traveler, seeing their anguish, spoke words of comfort and guidance. “Fear not, for Christ’s authority is also a beacon of mercy and grace. Turn your hearts fully toward Him, and let His light cleanse you of the worldliness that has taken root within.”
Humbled by the truth revealed by the sword, the believers vowed to submit wholeheartedly to Christ Jesus and His divine authority. They sought to cleanse their hearts and lives of worldly desires, and in doing so, found a newfound peace and joy in their faith.
And so, the kingdom by the sea became a shining example of true devotion, as the believers embraced the full authority of Christ Jesus and allowed His light to guide them in every aspect of their lives.
