Once upon a time, in a bustling city filled with people from all walks of life, there lived a group of people who called themselves “Believers.” They were known for their love and admiration for a great teacher named Christ Jesus. They gathered weekly at a local community center to worship and remember his teachings.
One day, a wise traveler arrived in the city. He had journeyed far and wide, sharing the message of Christ Jesus and helping those who sought transformation in their lives. Curious, the Believers invited him to speak at their gathering.
The wise traveler began, “Friends, I have heard of your love for Christ Jesus. But let me ask you, are you willing to accept his authority and let him transform your lives?”
The Believers murmured among themselves, and one of them stood up. “We love Christ Jesus dearly, and we know he loves us just the way we are. Why should we change?”
The wise traveler replied, “Indeed, Christ Jesus loves each one of us unconditionally. However, his love does not mean that we should remain unchanged. He invites us to embrace his authority, allowing him to transform us into the best version of ourselves, shedding our old habits and ways of thinking.”
The Believers listened intently, but they were not convinced. “We don’t see the need for transformation,” they argued. “We are good people, and we believe in Christ Jesus. Isn’t that enough?”
The wise traveler, sensing their resistance, decided to share a modern parable. “Imagine there’s a renowned life coach, someone with an incredible ability to help people unlock their true potential. A person approaches this life coach, seeking guidance but refuses to follow any of the advice given. The life coach, seeing the potential within, implores the individual to trust the process and commit to change.”
“However, the individual refuses. They insist that the life coach should appreciate their current state and not push them to change. Reluctantly, the life coach steps back, saddened by the missed opportunity to help the person reach their full potential.”
The wise traveler paused and looked at the Believers. “Christ Jesus is like the life coach, and we are the individuals. He sees the potential within each of us, and he longs to help us reach our true potential. But just like the individual, we must be willing to submit to his authority and allow him to transform us.”
The Believers were silent, reflecting on the words of the wise traveler. Some began to understand the importance of accepting Christ Jesus’ authority and embracing the transformation he offered. Others remained resistant, clinging to their belief that their love for Christ was enough.
As the wise traveler prepared to leave the city, he reminded them, “The path to true transformation is not easy, but it is the path that Christ Jesus invites us to walk. May you find the courage to accept his authority and allow him to mold you into the person you were meant to be.”
With that, the wise traveler continued on his journey, leaving the Believers to ponder his words and consider the importance of submitting to the authority and transformative power of Christ Jesus.
